Aaah, I am such a procrastinator. Don't hold your breath when I say I'm going to post something. Off to the beach tomorrow. Such fun, my family goes every year. I love it. Plus I have a zillion books to read and stuff, so this is blah time before school starts a week after my trip ends. O, that sentence made no sense to me. Ah well. I really haven't gotten much sleep lately. I'm very nervous about flying tomorrow, it'll have been my first flight since 9/11. My mom's very nervous too, and so she decided to go get some drugs. No, I know what you're thinking. She actually just got a Xanax (Zanax????) prescription from the doctor. I think I'll smuggle my Buddhist books to the beach. I really dislike lying, but I don't think my mother would ever buy that you can be a practicing Buddhist and a practicing Christian at the same time (Of course, I am not a practicing anything at the moment, I am a studying and thinking person right now). O, no internet for a week. I'll survive (I hope) Oyasumi nasai! (good night in Japanese) ps: on a side note, go read Pride and Prejudice, then watch the miniseries. Now, please. Revel in Darcy yumminess. Colin Firth, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. pps Very first post below. Man, have I messed my page up. O, this was full of improper grammar. I am such a hypocrite.

Oooo, quick thought! A book recommendation for Christians and Buddhists! Going Home: Jesus and Buddha as Brothers by Thich Nhat Hanh (I hope I spelled that right!). It's very good. I'm currently reading The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying: Liberation through understanding of the between. I haven't gotten that far into it, so I don't know what to think of it since I'm still sort of in the introduction part. Hmmm . . . now I think I'll go and write out my sunyata post. O, I feel as if I am flighty as a hummingbird! I seem to be jumping around all over the place! Ta ta!
OK! I was going to go to the Sugar Quill, but then I remembered something I wanted to talk about. Sunyata is emptiness, right? But whenever I read about it, I also get the feeling it's more like possibility than anything else. Does anyone else get that feeling???? OK, that probably made no sense to anyone who is not studying Buddhism. I think I'll post an explanation later today, then talk about why I think that. Peace, everybody!
email Blog goes from oldest at top to newest at bottom.
I'm starting a blog!!!!! Well, I bet you already noticed that. But before I type anything of substance, I will make a few announcements.
A. I will try to use very little webspeak or improper grammar. If you would like to email me, I would ask that you do the same.
B. If you catch me mispelling something, please tell me and I'll see if I can go and edit it or something.
Oh, that was probably very boring and stuffy sounding. Sorry! I feel like Percy. (I'm a member of the Harry Potter fandom, by the way). And I have a request to put out there:Why exactly was Cassie Claire kicked off I'm not sure I've heard the whole story and if someone out there knows what I'm talking about and can tell me the whole thing, I'd be very grateful. Erm, anyhoo, on this blog I will be talking about my life in general and religious aspects in particular, mostly about the religion/way of life I'm studying now:Buddhism. A big thank you to whoever bothers to read this! ::skips off to the Sugar Quill::
